Lens future proof.

Yes that is a HD lens on a DVW 790 WSP.

Looking at the Canon HD 16x8 and the 21x7.8mm lenses on HD is sort of standard.

We checked the HD lenses on the DVW 790 WSP, there is a resolution difference.

Nothing great and out of this world but it is sharper.

We also checked the HD lens on the old BVW D 600 P and found the same, it's a bit sharper.

The 21X lens has almost no pumping (focal shift) on 7.8mm and very little at 50mm, when we use the 2x extender.

The highlights hold very well with almost no Chroma error.

16X lens pumps more so 8mm focus on min is about 10mm, but the resolution and colours are great.

All in all the issue is not just sharper pictures, but in this fast moving digital era, new cameras seem to appear 6 monthly. Soon they will be like PC and be out of date before you've paid it off !

But your lens will be around for many-many years, as long as the 2/3" B4 mount is around, your lens will be future proof.
