The NEW Digital Betacam Recorder with Multi-Format playback Including; Optional High Definition Up-Conversion.

Size

It's smaller and lighter than a DVW-A500P which helps for any rental company as it's not a back breaker to lug around.

Multi-Format

The DVW-M2000P will playback Oxide, SP, SX and IMX formats.

High-Definition

In the industries move towards better quality HD is becoming increasingly more used for standard television programming, with this in mind SONY have made the DVW-M2000P capable of Up-Converting existing stock footage to HD with an optional Board.

In's and Out's

The Inputs and outputs are:

• Composite/Component/SDI/AES/EBU and analogue audio. As per DVW A500P audio is embedded as standard.
• The DVW-M2000P is in essence the same as the DVW A500P one of the things we noticed is everything is menu driven.Timecode presets and reference are not on switches. This is not a problem as most new technology is software based.
• The M2000P has 3 user presets in the menu for internal set-up's and also has a Sony memory stick port for saving and recalling set-up's between VTR'S.

Multi Standard

What a Pity the DVW-M2000P is multi format only, it is not multi standard so Playback and record is PAL Only.
