Shofar Family Church

Then there was light….camera and action.
Shofar family church has been spreading the gospel of Jesus for almost 2 decades in Stellenbosch, South Africa and the world.

They have reached thousands of students through disciple making and leadership development and in 1998 established it’s first church in Tygerberg.

Shofar Christian Church has since grown into a fully-fledged family church and has established churches in Worcester, Pretoria, Windhoek and London, while ministries in Retreat, Franschhoek and Macassar have recognized Pastor Fred’s leadership and also joined the growing Shofar Family.

Last year September Shofar approached Visual Impact for a portable production solution.

Since they don’t have a permanent building yet and move around from time to time they were looking for a mobile and flexible set-up to cover most of their Sunday services and Events.

They also wanted to use the equipment for studio recordings to produce resource material like bible school correspondence and foundation courses.

They pointed us to the Sony Anycast Live content mixer with that will enable us to mix and record our footage directly onto external hard drive. The Sony Anycast can mix up to six camera angles or four angles and two computer inputs. I believe this is a groundbreaking solution for our church because now minimum postproduction is required afterwards. We can do more work with the same amount of staff in less time.
